Who We Serve
Volleyball has grown from it's creation in 1895 by William G. Morgan in Massachusetts, as a less physical alternative to basketball for his businessmen class at the YMCA, to the major Olympic event that it is today. It is now a globally popular team sport with an estimated 800-900 million players worldwide playing at least once a week either either Indoor, Beach, Sitting or Snow.
To better understand the dynamics of who we serve as officials, it is important to also understand each of the governing bodies for our sport and the role they play in its administration. It is also extremely important, as Referee's that we understand the different playing regulations for each league.
